Liverpool were back to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend with a 3-0 win against AFC Bournemouth.

The Reds overcame last weekend’s shock loss at Anfield against Nottingham Forest with a professional job against the Cherries, with Liverpool 3-0 up after 37 minutes thanks to goals from Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

With Liverpool top at the time of writing, panic over Arne Slot’s tenure with the Merseyside giants looks to have been silenced after yesterday’s win coupled with the midweek victory away to AC Milan at the San Siro.

And it appears that Liverpool were on a scouting mission in their own stadium with Bournemouth in town.

Liverpool keeping regular tabs on Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez

According to TeamTalk, Liverpool have been following Bournemouth defender and Hungary international Milos Kerkez as the Reds ramp up their search for a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson in the left-back position.

Hailed by Vavel as ‘immense’ this weekend at Anfield, Kerkez only joined Bournemouth last year in a £15m deal from AZ Alkmaar, with the youngster quickly becoming one of Andoni Iraola’s most trusted players in the Bournemouth set-up.

With Kerkez impressing already in the Premier League, the 20-year-old defender is an obvious choice for the likes of Liverpool when it comes to identifying a player who can replace someone as important as Robertson under Slot.

And with the Hungary international one of Bournemouth’s best players this weekend at Anfield, Liverpool could have some extra motivation to move for Kerkez in 2025, where one of Robertson or Kostas Tsimikas could be in need of replacing.

Kerkez ticks a lot of boxes for what Liverpool want in a fullback

Athletic, energetic and young at just 20-years-old, it makes sense why Liverpool are keeping tabs on a player like Kerkez, who could be set for a big Premier League move next summer.

The former AZ star has looked like a natural for Bournemouth since moving to the English south coast last year, with Kerkez now seemingly ready to make the next step in his career with a move to a club like Liverpool in 2025.

And with the Reds keeping tabs on Kerkez, there’s a real chance that Liverpool could launch an official move for the left-back in January or next summer, where the Hungarian could jump at the chance to move to Anfield.
