The future of Mohamed Salah at Liverpool remains up in the air ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window.

The Egyptian superstar is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the season and no one associated with the Merseyside club will want to lose the winger for free this summer.

The 32-year-old is in the form of his life this season, producing 23 goals and 17 assists across 32 matches for the Reds, leaving Luis Garcia calling for Salah to be nominated for the Ballon d’Or.

This is just one of eight incredible seasons for the superstar at Anfield with Salah admitting his Liverpool numbers took a lot of hard work ahead of the Reds’ win over Ipswich on Saturday.

Contract talks between Liverpool and the 32-year-old continue behind the scenes, however, the longer they go on, the more likely the winger is going to leave.

Saudi Arabia have shown long-term interest in Salah and one club in particular from the nation are ready to make their move.

Al-Hilal the favourites to sign Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah

Al-Hilal have shown strong interest in Salah in recent weeks as the Saudi champions look to replace Neymar in their squad.

The Brazilian superstar is set to leave the Middle Eastern club to return to Brazil after failing to have a major impact with the Riyadh-based club due to fitness issues.

The departure of Neymar will free up funds for the Saudi club to acquire the services of Salah this summer and with the Egyptian being a free agent, the transfer is even more attractive for interested clubs.

According to The Telegraph, Al-Hilal are now being viewed as the most likely destination for Salah should he decide to leave Liverpool and join the Saudi Pro League at the end of the season.

The acquisition of the Egyptian superstar would be huge for everyone in Saudi Arabia and it is a transfer Hilal’s manager, Jorge Jesus, has left the door open to.

Jorge Jesus ready for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah to join Al-Hilal next season

Speaking to the press two weeks ago, Jesus told the media he is in the market for a new winger this summer and opened the door for Liverpool’s Salah to move to Al-Hilal 'next season'.

"Mo Salah or other big players will not come this winter… but maybe next season," the Portuguese coach told reporters.

This was a huge bombshell for Jesus to drop as the Hilal manager made public the Saudi champion’s interest in the Egyptian winger ahead of the summer.

It is uncertain if Salah is interested in moving to the Middle East given the fact that he is still only 32 and still regarded as one of the best players in the world.

The Egyptian international seems destined to move to the Saudi Pro League sometime in the future but his preference is most likely to remain at Liverpool at present, as the two continue to prove to be a perfect match.
