Arne Slot has only been a professional manager for eight years, yet the Liverpool coach has already worked with some of the best players in the modern era.
From Virgil van Dijk to Trent Alexander-Arnold, Slot succeeded Jurgen Klopp at Anfield this summer to take on a job everyone believed to be impossible, with the German manager simply one of the best to ever take over at Liverpool where the former Borussia Dortmund coach became a legend.
However, ten games into his tenure, Slot has proven everyone wrong and then some with nine wins, with the Dutch coach getting the best out of Liverpool’s exceptional squad and taking some players to new heights.
And Slot has now said one Liverpool player is one of the best he’s ever seen.
Slot praises Mohamed Salah as one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever
Speaking to Amazon Prime’s official YouTube channel, the former Feyenoord manager named Mohamed Salah in his all-time UEFA Champions League XI, with Slot in awe by what the Egyptian winger has done at Liverpool since joining in 2017.
Slot said on Salah: "For me, it's clear that Mo Salah should be in. Eight or nine years at such a high level. In the recent history of this club, he has scored so many goals. He has been really special for this club."

With Salah breaking numerous goalscoring records since joining Liverpool, it’s no real surprise why Slot named the former AS Roma star in his all-time Champions League XI given the immense form the forward has shown in the competition.
And this season, Salah will be determined to win a second Champions League title for Liverpool having lost in two finals with the Reds, with the 32-year-old in need of a major piece of silverware in what could be his last year at Anfield.
Salah can lead Slot to his first European title this season
Having come close before to a European title in the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League with Feyenoord, Slot is keen to add a continental championship to his growing trophy cabinet with Liverpool.
And Salah could be the man to lead Slot to this ultimate goal in this season’s Champions League, with the Egyptian international in top form and looking unstoppable yet again in Europe’s premier club competition.
Indeed, Salah will want to end his Liverpool career on the biggest of highs this season, and winning a second Champions League will do just that for the winger, with Slot ready to show the world he can coach the best team in Europe.
