'Yes': Arne Slot confirms Liverpool player has recovered from injury and is ready to start vs Man City

Liverpool have little time to enjoy their win over Real Madrid as Man City come to town on Sunday.
The Reds delivered a high point of the season so far on Wednesday, ending their eight game hoodoo against the European champions.
Next up is a visit from the English title holders, with Liverpool in with a chance to go 11 points clear of City in the Premier League.
Much of the talk in the build-up to the game has been of Man City’s injury problems.
However, it has been overlooked just a little that the Liverpool squad is not exactly fully available right now.
With Conor Bradley going down injured against Real Madrid, the Reds are likely to need Trent Alexander-Arnold back against City. During his press conference on Thursday, Arne Slot addressed whether the No.66 will be ready.
Trent Alexander-Arnold ready for Man City
Bradley was superb against Madrid, showing that if Alexander-Arnold does leave Liverpool next summer, they are in safe hands.
It was unfortunate that the 21-year-old could not finish the game and Rousing The Kop understands that Bradley is set for at least a month out injured.
That has put pressure on Alexander-Arnold’s return, with the England international having missed Liverpool’s last two matches.
He was back on the bench on Wednesday, but Slot chose to protect Alexander-Arnold ahead of City.

Asked to first give an update on both Bradley and Ibrahima Konate, the Liverpool head coach insisted that it was still too soon to say whether either could feature on Sunday.
“They are still being assessed,” said Slot. “It’s so close after the game last night and I just came off the training pitch, so I can’t tell you exactly where they are. So, let’s wait and see.”
Asked if Alexander-Arnold would be ready to start instead, the Dutchman simply answered “Yes, he would.”
Liverpool weighing up Trent Alexander-Arnold sale
Although Alexander-Arnold is set to return for Sunday’s big game, there remains huge doubt over his long-term Liverpool future.
And RTK understands that as they wait for an answer from the Liverpool academy graduate, the Reds are starting to weigh up if a January sale makes sense.
Alexander-Arnold is understood to have an offer on the table from Liverpool which would make him the highest paid English player in the Premier League. However, the Reds are yet to receive an answer from him.
In the meantime, Florentino Perez – who is understood to be on good terms with his counterparts at Anfield – has been keen to find out if a January sale to Real Madrid would be possible.
RTK understands that this prospect has been raised at the highest level in Liverpool, but a decision will only be made once Alexander-Arnold signals whether he will extend his contract or not.
