A missed opportunity?

Manchester City 2, Phil Foden 66', 78'

Brentford 2, Wissa 82', Norgaard 90+2'

Welcome to your quick recap.

Manchester City are leaving this midweek with a missed match opportunity played and a bad draw, coming off a subpar performance by all. A result that does no one any favors giving the timing of the two goals, really sunk this performance.

A match that had a similar feel to most City matches, yet resulted in some better play for the team as the intensity was present early. It was a bit disjointed at points, but it was a meh result in the end that can only help at least somewhat improve.

One where City was in control with possession and chances created . They played a very fun match and are now sitting in a better spot than before and can only make it better.

City had so many players who played well this time and that includes some lineup choices that were forced by injury & sickness.

A couple players of note who did play well and were lively was Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne, who showed up well.

The story of the night is that City get a tough draw away and we can move on to hopefully better times after this rough stretch. Additions are sorely needed (and coming) in January,

A decent result and we move.
