Ruben Amorim has named his starting XI for this evening's 8pm kick-off against Southampton.

It's a return to Premier League action and a return to home comforts for Manchester United tonight, having just played out back-to-back away games – the latter being an FA Cup clash at the Emirates.

The Reds lock horns with the 20th-placed Saints, who've claimed only six points from their first 20 matches since returning to the top flight this season.

In terms of the personnel Amorim has deployed, Andre Onana has been restored to his usual slot between the sticks, as expected, following Altay Bayindir's stellar showing in last Sunday's Arsenal triumph.

Harry Maguire, who was another standout performer on the night, has been granted a much-needed rest, with youngster Leny Yoro stepping in to make only his third league start as a Red.

Fans will be delighted to see Amad Diallo back in the lineup after a slight injury setback, which meant that he could only feature off the bench in North London. Alejandro Garnacho has also retained his place amid reports of United rejecting a £40 million bid from Napoli for the 20-year-old; the club will not entertain offers below their £60m valuation.

Expectedly, Marcus Rashford is nowhere to be seen yet again. Tonight's fixture marks the eighth successive game that the forward has not played at all, with his last outing coming on December 12. He remains heavily linked with a move to AC Milan, though Borussia Dortmund are expected to ramp up their pursuit to try and counteract their recent defeats, which have left them 10th-placed in the Bundesliga table.

Southampton did reign victorious in their last match, albeit to Championship opposition Swansea City, whom they defeated 3-0 in their cup tie over the weekend.
