Manchester United have started the campaign with two losses from the first three Premier League games.

Their third game came against bitter rivals Liverpool who trashed them 3-0 at Old Trafford showing Erik ten Hag how much work he has to do.

One player who was shambolic against the Reds was Casemiro. The Brazilian legend had a horrific first half and was hooked off by Ten Hag at half-time. It almost seemed like the 32-year-old gave up on trying and resigned to the fact that he was having a bad game.

The surprising thing is that Casemiro was one of Man Utd’s better players from the first two games. He had started this season impressively, even against Manchester City in the Community Shield and yet, all hell broke loose against Liverpool.

Understandably, there have been calls for the player to leave and speculation that his time at the highest level was over.

As per journalist Ali Naci Kucuk, Turkish giants Galatasaray have moved in to try to sign the Manchester United midfielder on loan for the season.

Having planned the season with him in mind, it would be a surprise should Erik ten Hag let him leave on the back of one dismal performance. Yes, by Casemiro’s standards, it was abysmal but it surely isn’t the end of the road.

It’s always the wounded tiger whose strike is the fiercest. Right now, Casemiro is wounded and will be pushing to come back and prove that he is not done at the highest level. The £18.2m-per-year 32-year-old is an incredible competitor.

Despite Galatasaray’s interest, Casemiro is likely to stay at Man Utd for one more season. If he can put this Liverpool game behind him and show the form that he did in the initial games, he can still be of use to Man Utd and let’s see how his rest of the season goes.
