From Italy: Joshua Zirzkee would see Manchester United exit as 'personal defeat' – Balance is now changing
Yesterday at 06:23 AM
Some days ago, it was reported that Joshua Zirkzee had opened up to the possibility of leaving Manchester United in the January transfer window.
The talk was that the Red Devils would only let the Dutchman depart on a permanent deal or on a loan deal with an obligation to buy.
There has now been a development in the situation. Corriere dello Sport have reported that talks between Juventus and Manchester United have 'gone dark'.
While Ruben Amorim’s side do not want to lose two forwards in Zirkzee and Marcus Rashford at the same time, the Netherlands international believes that leaving Old Trafford so early would be a 'personal defeat' for him.
While he would welcome a move to Juve, he also harbours the intention to prove himself in the Premier League.
The balance of the situation is now shifting as Manchester United seem closer to keeping Zirkzee than losing him.
So far, the Bianconeri have only come forward with a loan deal and an option to buy. That idea doesn’t satisfy the Red Devils and that is why the move has been described as 'too complicated' to take off in the January transfer window.
It now seems likelier 23-year-old will stay at the Theatre of Dreams at least until the end of the season.
