Prior to his blockbuster move to Paris Saint-Germain in September 2023, Randal Kolo Muani was heavily linked with Manchester United

The Ligue 1 outfit sanctioned the arrival of Muani after forking out a ludicrous £64.2 million to get the deal over the line while also pledging a further £12.2m in add-ons to prise him from Eintracht Frankfurt.

His fee, albeit still far too high, came after a campaign in which the France international had notched a remarkable 40 goal contributions in 46 appearances across all competitions. Muani's 23 goals and 17 assists led to him quickly establishing himself as one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe, with PSG eventually emerging as the club most willing to meet Frankfurt's demands.

Yet, as is so often the case in such mega-money transactions, the player has struggled to replicate the same prolific form that made PSG target him. In his maiden campaign at the Parc des Princes, he returned only nine goals and six assists in 40 appearances.

Such lacklustre showings have seen Muani now become something of an outcast under Luis Enrique since the season began, as he has started only two Ligue 1 matches of their eight played.

Per TBR Football, the club are now willing to offload their frontman after having him in the ranks for only 13 months. They have 'offered' his services out to a host of Premier League clubs, including United and Arsenal, the latter of which are thought to be targeting a clinical No.9 to eventually replace the struggling, injury-prone Gabriel Jesus.

It remains to be seen the exact fee PSG will demand, though they are open to a mid-season loan in hopes of him driving up his transfer value to any potential long-term suitors.

The 26-year-old, who was previously hailed as a 'complete' striker by compatriot Kylian Mbappe, reportedly pockets a stunning €244,808 per week, according to Capology.
