For anyone who has been following football for a long time, looking at some players, you can make out that they were born to be strikers.
The way a player is built, and his physicality gives a clear idea of the position that he could play in.
News – Man Utd prepare to offer £16.6m plus player to sign star – Report
One such young Spaniard, who, unlike many players in the country looks to be a conventional number nine is Samu Aghehowa. At just 20, the former Atletico Madrid man is a physical specimen and a menace for defenders.
Having failed to cut it at the Wanda Metropolitano, the youngster was subject of a high profile Chelsea move back in the summer only for the transfer to fall through the cracks at the 11th hour. Eventually, he moved to Porto.
In Portugal, Aghehowa has been in sensational form and cannot seemingly stop scoring. In 21 games, he has scored 18 goals and provided two assists, establishing himself as one of the biggest young talents going around.
Now, as per Caught Offside, Man Utd want to sign Samu Aghehowa, who won the Olympic games with his nation back in the summer. The player is said to have a £82 million release clause in his contract.
The young Spaniard’s impressive displays caught the eye of Luis de la Fuente, Spain's Euro winning head coach and the he made his debut for La Roja in the last International break in November. Surely it is the first of many to come.
United’s issues in recent times have been the lack of clinical finishing from their strikers. Not to forget, Rasmus Hojlund missed a 1v1 chance against Liverpool last night.
In your view, should Man Utd move in to sign Samu Aghehowa?
