'Perhaps as early as January' – Player presented for quick Manchester United exit just after arriving

There’s been a handful of stories in the Italian media over the past week or so suggesting Joshua Zirkzee could be of interest to Juventus and AC Milan.

The gist of it all seems to be: Zirkzee played well under Thiago Motta at Bologna last season, the manager is now at Juventus and the Dutchman’s start to Manchester United life hasn’t been flawless.

Inevitably, the claims have ended up in England, where bits were added, such as the word flop, and are now back in Italy again.

Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo has taken a look at the situation. After Zirkzee was linked with Juventus and AC Milan, he’s got information on both the Italian clubs.

It’s thought the player would be keen for a return to Italy, and whilst that’s a general claim without a timeframe attached to it, it’s then stated it could be ‘perhaps as early as January’.

Juventus are said to be looking for a player with the 23-year-old’s characteristics, however, AC Milan interest is largely dismissed. The Rossoneri had been very keen in the summer but they refused to pay the huge commission agent Kia Joorabchian wanted on top of the Bologna release clause.

Any move would likely be a loan, but it feels very unlikely at this stage. Whilst Zirkzee hasn’t really impressed much yet for Manchester United, to give up so soon would seem a waste of everyone’s time.
