Goal-scoring has been a big issue for Manchester United this term. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee are the two CFs the Red Devils currently have, but neither has managed to showcase their best in the Premier League.

The duo were purchased by former manager Erik ten Hag. Therefore, it seems Ruben Amorim wants to sign a new seasoned striker to bolster the attack and United have been linked with a few names in recent weeks.

Now, Nigerian outlet, Business Day say that Man Utd have been expressing a strong interest in signing Victor Osimhen and the player wants to move to Old Trafford.

The forward joined Galatasaray on a loan deal from Napoli last summer after Chelsea and the Saudi Arabian clubs failed to secure his services on deadline day. Hence, the Turkish giants would receive a £8m fee if his loan is broken in mid-season.

Osimhen has a £75m release clause in his current contract but a deal could be agreed upon for a fee of around £62.2m with Napoli in winter.

The Nigerian has been in excellent form for the Turks thus far this term, scoring 13 goals and registering five assists in 16 appearances in all competitions.

He has been guiding his side to mount a title charge, sitting eight points ahead of second-placed Fenerbahce at the top of the Super Lig.

Osimhen has proven his worth in Serie A, helping Napoli win the Scudetto in the 2022/23 campaign. The 26-year-old is a proven goal-scorer so he could be an ideal option for Man Utd to bolster the frontline. What do you think?

United reportedly don’t have the money to spend this month having spent big last summer, but Amorim has revealed that they are trying to reinforce the squad before the deadline.

Should Man Utd secure a top striker like Osimhen knowing that he wants to join?
