Arsenal will hope to cut the deficit to Premier League leaders Liverpool when they host Manchester United this Wednesday evening.
The Gunners beat London rivals West Ham at the weekend in a thrilling clash that saw all seven goals in their 5-2 win come in the first half.
A dominant victory meant Mikel Arteta's side remained in second place, albeit on alphabetical order, and nine points behind Liverpool.
That is a big gap to close down even at this early stage of the season but another three points against Man United would give them hope.
Ruben Amorim will be hopeful of picking up his second win as manager though, in what is going to be his toughest task as Red Devils boss so far.
A draw at Ipswich was followed by a convincing win of Everton on Sunday to mark a great start to his time in Manchester.
Arsenal vs Man United: Gunning for a record
Arsenal can make some club history at the Emirates on Wednesday.
The Gunners have won their last three Premier League games against Man United.
Should they win again, it will be the first time ever they have beaten their rivals in four consecutive league fixtures.
And there is a high likelihood that they achieve it too, as United have lost seven of their last nine trips to the red side of North London.
The Red Devils have also lost their last three away meetings against Arsenal, not winning in any of their last six such clashes.
The last three results of this fixture are 3-1, 3-2 and 3-1 to the hosts, so Amorim will want to put an end to the streak of conceding so many goals.
- This will be Arsenal's 500th competitive match at the Emirates Stadium in all competitions (W335 D93 L71). They've won 10 and lost six of their 20 meetings with Manchester United at the ground (D4), only losing more against Manchester City (9) and Chelsea (7).
- Manchester United have won just two of their last 18 Premier League away games against London sides (D5 L11), with both of those victories coming against Fulham. The Red Devils had been unbeaten in 13 visits to the capital before this (W8 D5).
Arsenal vs Man United: Predicted line-ups
Arsenal will likely be without Thomas Partey, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu while Mikel Merino could miss out again with a knock too.
Gabriel is also a doubt after being substituted at half-time against West Ham with a persisting issue.
However, Arteta revealed that was mainly to prevent any further issues for the Brazilian with the game already won.
He'll partner William Saliba at centre-back and Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori will sit on either side of them at full-back as usual.
With Partey out, Jorginho is likely to sit deep in midfield while Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard flank him in more advanced positions.
All three of Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard scored at the weekend and are expected to keep their place, but Gabriel Martinelli will want a start.
If rests do happen after a quick turnaround, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling will also want to get some more extended minutes.
As for United, Amorim has the majority of his squad fit, with only Victor Lindelof and Leny Yoro recovering from their injuries.
Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire appeared off the bench at the weekend and they will be pushing for a start at the Emirates.
Andre Onana will be in goal, but Shaw could come in to replace Lisandro Martinez who is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Matthijs De Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui are likely to keep their places while the in-form Amad Diallo and Diogo Dalot stay at wingback.
In front of them, Casemiro may be partnered by Bruno Fernandes as Kobbie Mainoo is also suspended for this game.
Fernandes played a deeper role in Europe last week and could move there again to allow Mason Mount to join Marcus Rashford in behind the striker.
And that striker is likely to be Joshua Zirkzee after a double against Everton, unless he’s rested for Rasmus Hojlund.
- Bukayo Saka has already both scored and assisted a goal in four different Premier League games this season. On only four occasions has an Arsenal player done so more in a single campaign – Thierry Henry (7 in 2002-03, 6 in 2004-05), Robin van Persie (7 in 2011-12) and Lukas Podolski (5 in 2012-13).
- Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has won six of his nine Premier League games against Manchester United (D1 L2), with his first ever victory for the Gunners coming against them (2-0 in January 2020). Of all managers to face the Red Devils at least five times in the competition, Arteta has the highest win rate (67%).

Rashford now has three goals in two games under Amorim and he looks like he could be getting back to his best.
After a double against Everton, the 27-year-old praised his new manager but played down his upturn in form after a tough year.
And despite praising him, Amorim also didn't want to to dwell on his forward's performance too much and asked for more.
The Man United boss said on Sunday: “He can do so much, so he has to continue to improve, he has the ability to do it, he already proved that.
“But he can play so much better, as can the other guys.
“It was a good performance, [but] tomorrow he has to recover and start thinking about Arsenal.”
- Arsenal have won just two of their 17 evening kick-offs (7pm or later) against Manchester United in the Premier League (D9 L6), though one of those was in their most recent such home game in January 2020 (2-0).
- Manchester United have won six of their last seven midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) Premier League games (L1), with these games producing 38 goals in total (F23 A15).
