Ex-Rangers Women's coach 'high up' on shortlist to replace Championship manager

Former Rangers defender Gregory Vignal remains famous amongst Ibrox fans for a legendary goal against Old Firm rivals Celtic.
The Frenchman, 43, is a regular on the Ibrox Legends circuit after a season on loan in Glasgow where he lifted the League Cup and SPL in 2004/05.
During that season the defender netted a famous long-range strike in a 2-0 win at Celtic Park which helped Rangers move three points clear of their eternal rivals.
Having also spent time in charge of the Rangers Women, the connection between the Ibrox club and Gregory Vignal is one which continues to this day.
But there is another Rangers who could be set to pick up the phone to the Frenchman as they look to stave off a devastating relegation from the English Championship.

Queens Park Rangers find themselves rooked to the bottom of the English Championship have won only one game in 15 at the start of the season.
The pressure is now mounting on Spanish manager Marti Cifuentes who admitted his team are in a 'very difficult trend' following this weekend's 2-0 defeat to Leeds United.
Despite the fact Cifuentes continues in his post heading into the November international break, there is plenty of chatter surrounding the 42-year-old and what happens next at Loftus Road.
As part of that, leading French outlet L'Equipe are suggesting that Gregory Vignal is high up on a list of potential candidates to replace Cifuentes in London.
Ex-Rangers star coy on Championship move
According to the report, Gregory Vignal is on the Queens Park Rangers shortlist to replace Marti Cifuentes should they sack their current manager.
Vignal is currently out of work and looking for a new opportunity after a stint in charge of Championnat National side FC Versailles last season.
This was only Vignal's second senior management role, the other being the ex-Portsmouth and Birmingham City star's spell in charge of the Rangers Women in the 19/20 season.
Vignal had previously spent the last few years working in the Rangers academy.
According to the report, Vignal has refused to rule anything in or out after being contacted by L'Equipe for comment by failing to react to the links.
The report also claims that Gregory Vignal has previously met with the QPR hierarchy during the club's 0-0 draw with Sunderland earlier in the season.
The Black Cats are currently managed by fellow Frenchman Régis Le Bris, with the report claiming Vignal previously turned down a coaching role under his compatriot at the Stadium of Light.
