Rangers have come clean with their supporters when it comes to the club's failings in the transfer market.

The Gers board has changed tact in the summer after short-sighted, high-earning contracts were doled out to English Championship-level players who failed to deliver at Ibrox.

This summer saw Rangers adopt a more youthful and international approach to transfers with several of those new Ibrox signings impressing already.

Here we look at the five Rangers youngsters who Nils Koppen and the Rangers board hope will bank the club a player trading fortune in the years to come.

Jefte

Brazilian left-back Jefte is the subject of interest from Chelsea and watching glances from around Europe after impressing at Rangers.

It's easy to forget the Ibrox talent is only 20-years-old but already Jefte is a fixture of the Rangers team and a relentless presence down the left-hand side.

There are still some deficiencies to the ex-Fluminense kid's game but big things are expected of Jefte both at Rangers and beyond.

Rangers will certainly hope to bank more than the £680k they paid for Jefte with Rio club Fluminense retaining a 20% sell-on clause.

Clinton Nsiala

Clinton Nsiala might just have broken through into the Rangers first-team but the centre-back is another picked up by Nils Koppen's scouting team.

Coming through the youth ranks of AC Milan, Nsiala had to bide his time for an opportunity at Rangers but the defender has stepped into centre-back with aplomb in recent weeks.

Earning comparisons to Virgil van Dijk, Rangers know they've got a rough diamond in their hands in the shape of Nsiala who has similarities to Calvin Bassey.

Left-sided centre-backs fetch a pretty penny and Clinton will hope to usurp the £19m Ajax paid for the ex-Leicester City kid in 2022.

Nicolas Raskin

Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin has taken the biggest steps in his own personal development to date this season at Ibrox.

Handed the captain's armband as injury decimated the club around Christmas, Raskin has impressed with his commanding, composed and quality midfield performances.

No player has won back possession more than the 23-year-old in the Europa League this season and the Rangers midfielder is growing into a leader and consistent performer at Ibrox.

There's a reason why Barcelona were sniffing around Nico before Rangers pounced and big things are expected of the Belgian in the years to come.

Bailey Rice

Michael Beale claimed Bailey Rice was 'ready' for the Rangers first-team back in 2023 but the midfielder has been made to wait by Philippe Clement.

Belgian manager Clement knows a thing or two about blooding young talents and is now beginning to give Rice that first-team opportunity at Ibrox.

The exit of Kieran Dowell will give Rice the chance to shine at Rangers and the young midfielder turned heads in the 2-1 Europa League defeat at Manchester United.

Bailey Rice is one of the most exiting young Scottish talents of his generation and Rangers held off the likes of Real Madrid to tie the kid down as a teenager.

Hamza Igamane

Hamza Igamane is the most exciting player at Rangers at the moment and the young Moroccan maverick is making major headlines in Glasgow.

A top talent who has that twinkle in his toes and in his eyes, Rangers fans are already resigned to Igamane moving on to bigger and better things.

But for the time being the club's support are relishing every moment with Hamza Igamane earning applause by the nutmeg, deft touch or goal at Ibrox.

Premier League clubs are watching Igamane and now it's on Rangers to get the timing and price right when it comes to cashing in.
