There's been plenty of heavyweight champions linked to Rangers over the years.

Only this week were the Ibrox club hosting WWE superstars Drew McIntyre and Piper Niven alongside the World's Strongest Man Tom Stoltman.

The trio are at the top of their professions and have never been shy in pinning the Ibrox colours to their masts.

Rangers fans have revelled in pictures of the trio in the Ibrox trophy room as they promote the club's stylish new Castore white away kit, Stoltman's third WST title, and the WWE Main Event Clash at the Castle.

But now another heavyweight has been spotted at a Rangers bar in Spain as a former world champion boxer becomes the latest bruiser to follow the bears.

David Haye spotted in Rangers bar

David 'the Hayemaker' Haye is one of British boxings most revered pugilists.

The 43-year-old Londoner rose through the weight ranks to become one of the world's most recognisable faces in the famous old sport.

A world champion at cruiserweight level, David Haye also held the WBA Heavyweight title in 2009 after famously defeating Nikolai Valuev.

Now, Haye has been spotted in a famous Rangers bar in Tenerife as the Blue Bell Bar upload an image of the boxer sitting in the pub on social media.

Which team does David Haye support?

Whilst it's not exactly clear what David Haye was doing in the Rangers boozer, the snap will have fans asking questions about his football allegiances.

But before fans start thinking they've got a diehard bluenose in the boxer, Haye is famously a follower of London club Millwall.

A Lion through-and-through, there are plenty in the Millwall ranks who hold a fondness for Rangers and David Haye may well be one of them.

The boxer spoke to Four Four Two in 2008 about his love of the south London club and growing up in Bermondsey.

"I grew up in a rough place called Long Lane," said Hayer. "I was born in London Bridge and went to school in Rotherhithe.

"I was a Bermondsey boy so football-wise it was always going to be Millwall for me. There were kids at my school who supported Barcelona or Brazil! Barcelona! They couldn't even tell you where it was on a map."

Haye even had some fond words for one ex-Rangers and Millwall star in Terry Hurlock as he recanted some stories about the notorious Old Den stadium, where the Lions were housed until 1993.

"It was an intimidating place," says Haye. "All barbed wire and corrugated iron. I loved it, though. I liked the whole thing, all the swearing. It was a little tense. And I loved that it was my local club.

"That 1988 team were great. Teddy Sheringham and big Tony Cascarino up front. Sheringham was brilliant even back then, and with Terry Hurlock doing all the dirty work behind him, he got loads of goals.

"Terry Hurlock. What a nasty piece of work. Fantastic."
