James McFadden sympathises with one Rangers player after what he saw vs Dundee

Rangers overtook Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership table with a win over Dundee this weekend.
It may not have looked like a convincing three points on the face of it all but Vaclav Cerny‘s goal sealed the win on a relatively comfortable afternoon.
Philippe Clement would have been disappointed with a lack of clinical finishing at Ibrox.
And the Rangers manager issued a stern warning about going second in the Scottish Premiership to his players and it is one they must heed.
But with his side’s finishing in particular, they had only four strikes on target to test visiting goalkeeper Trevor Carson from a whopping 24 attempts in total.
That is perhaps the only downside to a win which puts the Premier Sports Cup Final in the rearview mirror.
Although Sportscene pundit James McFadden, like Kris Boyd, was surprised at the squad’s finishing.
One miss specifically was pored over by the former Motherwell and Everton player and it was from man of the moment Hamza Igamane.
McFadden felt sorry for Hamza Igamane who missed a sitter vs Dundee
The Moroccan missed a gilt-edge opportunity from close range as he clattered the ball off the upright as opposed to finding the net.
And it was a spurned chance which shocked McFadden.
"It is a big miss and he should be scoring but I have a little bit of sympathy," said the pundit.
"He's not trying to be clever with it, he's just opened up and used the pace of the cross to try and put it in the back of the net and it's come off the bar.
"Look, he should be scoring, I'm not letting him off but Rangers should have won far more comfortably."
Clubs have scouted Igamane before the January transfer window
Igamane’s miss may have been a poor one but the striker, 22, has hit six goals and provided two assists in 18 appearances in all competitions this season.
He has established himself as the main alternative to Cyriel Dessers but that has brought prying eyes from clubs with the January transfer window just around the corner.
Everton have been linked with Igamane and have scouted the player while several other clubs are also monitoring the attacker.
Igamane has been described as having traits like Didier Drogba by Ibrox defender Leon Balogun.
