Rangers fans are already getting excited about the prospect of adding Peterborough winger Kwame Poku to the club's ranks next year.

Rangers News exclusively revealed that Ibrox scouts watched Poku bang in a hat-trick before the international break to take his tally for the season to 10 goals.

It's led to much chatter surrounding the future of out-of-contract Kwame Poku, who would be available to Rangers on a cut-price cross-border development fee.

Now, with Peterborough hoping to rake in north of £6m south of the border, one of the winger's reported Premier League suitors could well be casting their glances elsewhere.

And then some.

Kwame Poku a player in demand

Rangers aren't the only ones being linked with a move for Kwame Poku as the 23-year-old turns heads in the English Championship and Premier League.

Whilst the likes of Millwall and Burnley have been mentioned in the second flight, relegation candidates Southampton and Ipswich Town have been cited as Poku suitors in the top tier.

Peterborough CEO Darragh MacAnthony has previously suggested that the Posh expect to get over £6m for Poku despite the threat of a tribunal should the winger stay in England.

Similarly, Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson appears convinced that the attacker will be staying south of the border and making the League One club a fortune.

"That speculation is only going to crank up in January and clearly I will have to manage the situation regarding certain players," said Ferguson.

"I don't think anything will happen with Kwame (Poku). We have a safety net with him and with Ricky (Jade Jones) as we would get compensation for both of them given their ages."

But now one potential Poku suitor has been linked elsewhere amid reports of Southampton interest in one of football's most exciting talents.

Rangers transfer rivals target Real Madrid wonderkid

That's because Southampton have been linked with a move for Real Madrid's teenage sensation Endrick with the Brazilian wonderkid struggling for minutes in the Bernabéu.

The 18-year-old joined Real Madrid in an £80m deal from Palmeiras in the summer and according to Spanish outlet Sport, Endrick is a loan target for Southampton in the January window.

The Brazilian attacker has played only 55 La Liga minutes for Madrid this season and a temporary deal could be struck to get the forward playing in Europe.

Alongside Russell Martin's side, La Liga side Real Valladolid – who are bankrolled by the legendary R9 – and AS Roma are named as suitors.

Whilst it's unclear if this would impact Southampton's reported interest in Poku, Endrick is certainly a showstopping alternative!
