Rangers make the short trop to Paisley where they face St Mirren this evening.
Philippe Clement‘s side are on the right track with momentum now on their side following a string of strong performances in a row and good results.
The Premier Sports Cup Final – and Vaclav Cerny’s penalty call – aside, Clement’s Light Blues have won five domestic matches on the bounce and held Tottenham to a 1-1 draw which the Ibrox club arguably should have won.
- Rangers starting XI: BUTLAND, TAVERNIER, STERLING, BALOGUN, JEFTE, BARRON, DIOMANDE, CERNY, BAJRAMI, HAGI, IGAMANE.
- Subs: KELLY, RIDVAN, PROPPER, CORTES, DESSERS, DOWELL, RASKIN, MCCAUSLAND, DANILO.
Nico Raskin is on the bench with one booking away from suspension
The team now face the Buddies at the SMiSA Stadium in tonight’s 5.45pm kick-off and the boss has made some changes to the side which defeated Dundee last weekend with four players walking a suspension tightrope.
Jack Butland missed the Dees clash due to “personal reasons” with Liam Kelly earning his “dream” debut 20 years in the making.
The Englishman returns to the fold from the start.
Clement recently claimed Gers could not succeed without three players and two of them start this evening.
Up front there has been some questions this term over Cyriel Dessers with Hamza Igamane performing very well in his place.
And today it’s the latter who starts in a bid to gun down the Buddies.
What Rangers fans are saying about starting XI vs St Mirren
