At long last, Rangers will finally play for the first time at Ibrox this season as Dundee visit in the Premier Sports Cup.

It’s been such a tumultuous beginning to the campaign for the Light Blues and not being able to fulfil fixtures in Govan has been a big part of that.

The Copland Road Stand underwent reconstruction work following the conclusion of last season, but it was soon announced that a shipment delay meant Ibrox was to be out of bounds when the 2024/25 season kicked off.

Rangers had to play at Hampden Park as a result, but fans are relieved that Ibrox will be back in use this evening for the first time in 130 days.

As far as the football in concerned, Rangers are aiming to defend their Premier Sports Cup crown – or the Viaplay Cup as it was known last season – and meet Dundee at the quarter-final stage.

The Dens Park outfit have started the season fairly well and Tony Docherty’s men play some attractive football. But with a boisterous home backing, Gers will be expected to progress to the semi-finals.

Below, Rangers News has everything you need to know about the Dundee game including how to watch on TV, the latest team news, an injury round-up plus the appointed officials.
