Special Ibrox day for three Rangers stars in memorable Dundee win as they take to Instagram to celebrate
Yesterday at 02:30 PM
With winds gusting to upwards of 40mph and the heavens open, conditions were hardly conducive for Philippe Clement to see Rangers play free flowing football against Dundee, and yet they made a valient effort.
The manager got his wish and, despite the 1-0 score line and Tony Docherty's post match comments, had the Ibrox faithful seen five or six more goals. Nobody could have complained.
The woodwork was hit four teams, glorious chances were spurned, penalty appeals waved away and a goal from Ianis Hagi was disallowed, add this to Liam Kelly enjoying the dream debut at the other end and it was a decent afternoon's work.
Rangers stars have something to celebrate after Dundee win
It was a good day for the two players named with Hagi constantly probing Dundee's defence with a goal line clearance preventing Hamza Igamane from handing the Romanian another assist.
For Kelly, he was considerable quieter after the imminent expansion of Jack Butland's family saw the Rangers No.1 leave Ibrox in a hurry and attend the maternity suite with his work gear on.
All three took to social media to celebrate was a special day.
Liam Kelly sees Rangers dream come true
Liam Kelly had dreamt of playing for Rangers for 20 years and for him, making his debut was a family affair:
“20 years I've waited for that moment & delighted it came with a win. Nice to have the family there to, hope you enjoyed that Grandad.”
Ianis Hagi pays his respects to Ibrox
Ianis Hagi knows full well what Ibrox is capable of after his night vs Braga and took to Instagram to pay his respects to the 125 year old work of art:
“It was, it is and it will always be a privilege to play week in and week out on such an iconic stadium. Happy 125th birthday, Ibrox!
“On a different note, may the Christmas Season bring only happiness and joy to you and your families. See y'all on Boxing Day.”
Just a perfect day for Jack Butland
As for Jack Butland, somethings are more important than football.
