Rangers fans have been urging Philippe Clement to give more opportunities to Dutch U21 defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo.

The 22-year-old full-back has joined on a season-long loan from Feyenoord with an option-to-buy but has saw his chances limited at Ibrox so far.

Putting in a stellar debut performance against Malmo in Sweden, Neraysho Kasanwirjo has since been limited to substitute appearances for Rangers ever since.

Now, after a stellar double-assist showing for the Dutch U21s, one leading Rangers fan media contributor has been discussing how much the Gers might need to pay to sign the defender permanently.

How much will Neraysho Kasanwirjo cost Rangers?

Stevie Clifford from Four Lads Had a Dream has been discussing the situation with Neraysho Kasanwirjo at Rangers.

Speaking on the Rangers Review YouTube channel, Clifford claims that Rangers have been tight-lipped about just how much it will cost the club to sign Kasanwirjo permanently.

But without an official response, Clifford has his own idea about what would represent value for the Dutchman as Rangers look long-term to life beyond James Tavernier.

"I don't think that has ever been actually talked about," said Clifford.

"I don't think we've ever had an official response to how much the option to buy is so we can speculate a wee bit.

"I would think that realistically it's got to be around about £1.5m to £2m. I would say, if you look at his value and stuff like that, I'd think that's maybe where it is.

"He's a good age, he fits our profile, we're going to need a good right back because James Tavernier can't go on forever.

"If you were looking at this deal next summer and he's enjoyed it here, he's played and Tav is leaving, do you go and get a completely new right back that settles in or do you try and stick with the guy that's been here and shown promise?

"We're obviously thinking way ahead, anything can happen with form and something like that but I'd like to see more of him.

"Would I sign him if I was given the opportunity? If things keep progressing the way they are and it's a decent deal for the club, I'd certainly look at him."

Rangers loanee tight-lipped on long-term future

Rangers loanee Neraysho Kasanwirjo has also been talking about his own future this week after a stunning double assist for the Netherlands U21s.

The Feyenoord talent put in a stunning display from left-back, setting up two Netherlands goals in the first 17 minutes of an eventual 3-0 victory over Sweden.

The commanding result completed what was a flawless U21 European Championship qualifying campaign for the Dutch, who won all ten of their group games.

Asked about his situation at Rangers come full-time, Kasanwirjo was giving nothing away but insists he's enjoying his start in Glasgow.

"I was well received in Scotland," Kasanwirjo said, as quoted by Voetbal Primuer. "The coach is very direct and I need that.

"Feyenoord next year? Who knows…"
