Southampton youngster Samuel Edozie is winning fans at Anderlecht, with his latest goal convincing some the Belgian side have a star on their hands.

Voetbal Primeur cover praise of the Southampton man today in La Tribune from journalists Swann Borsellino and Stéphane Streker, who is very impressed by what he's seen so far.

The 21-year-old is spending the season at Anderlecht on loan from Southampton, with Saints boss Russel Martin seemingly deciding against keeping him for their return to the Premier League.

He was a regular for Southampton last season, making 36 appearances in all competitions and scoring six goals as well as registering three assists.

Edozie has started his spell at Anderlecht in good form, with one goal and one assists in five games to date.

His first goal for his temporary club came at the end of last month as he bagged the opening goal in a 1-1 draw with Dender.

That goal saw the Southampton loanee pick the ball up in his own half before dribbling to the opposition box, going past two players and then firing into the back of the net. It was an impressive strike and one that impressed Borsellino.

“There is something special about this boy. When you score a goal like that, you feel like a child," he said.

Streker has also liked what he's seen so far and believes the winger fits in perfectly with the type of player that they like in Anderlecht.

“He has that typical DNA,” he added.
