Stoke City host Norwich City this weekend as Narcis Pelach prepares to face his former club for the first time.

Stoke City have had a mixed start to their season and have already made a change in the dugout, surprisingly parting ways with Steven Schumacher.

New boss Narcis Pelach took a few games to secure his first points. However, the massive 6-1 win over Portsmouth have sparked signs of encouragement at the Bet365.

Last time out, the Potters drew 0-0 with Swansea City as Pelach continues to make his mark on the side.

Norwich City meanwhile are in excellent form. The Canaries are four games unbeaten, securing 10 points in that run.

Johannes Hoff Thorup’s side will be in good spirits after a huge 4-0 win over Hull City before the international break. Things are starting to gather pace for the Danish boss at Carrow Road having risen to 7th.

He’ll certainly be keen to get one over the coach who left his backroom team to head for pastures new too.

Here, a handful of our writers make their predictions for the game…

Charlie Hodgson

“This could be an interesting game between two sides in decent form. Stoke City look like they are turning things around under Narcis Pelach with four points from two games hopefully marking the start of a good run.

Norwich City are absolutely flying right now though and have scored 12 goals in their last four games. However, with Pelach only just leaving Norwich’s coaching staff, he may know the Canaries’ weaknesses.

“It will likely be a close game between the two but I feel Norwich will just get the upper hand in this one.”

Prediction: Stoke City 1-2 Norwich City

Who is the manager of Blackpool?

James Ray

“People should be excited to see just how this game pans out. Some might point out that Pelach knows the inner workings of Thorup and his Norwich City setup but the Dane is smart enough to be aware of that.

“It feels like a good time to invest in Thorup and his Canaries side. The mood is improving with every game and they’re playing some fantastic stuff.

Stoke City may be improving under Pelach, but I just think Norwich are going to become a real contender in the promotion picture as the season progresses. As such, this is the sort of game they should be winning.”

Prediction: Stoke City 1-3 Norwich City
