Stoke City ace attracting transfer interest ahead of January

Stoke City playmaker Bae Jun-ho is attracting ‘serious interest’ ahead of the January transfer window, according to reporter Fraser Fletcher on X.
Stoke City could face a battle to keep hold of the attacking midfielder this winter amid attention from elsewhere. He joined the Championship side in August 2023 and penned a four-year deal running until June 2027.
Jun-ho, 21, is a South Korea international with six caps under his belt so far in his career. He has made 62 appearances for the Potters in all competitions to date, 20 of which have come this season, and he has chipped in with two goals and an impressive 11 assists.
In this latest update regarding his future at the Bet365 Stadium by journalist Fletcher on X, other teams are ‘weighing’ up moves for him. The identity of the teams that are admirers are yet to be known at this moment in time.
Stoke City man wanted
Stoke City won’t want to lose Jun-ho and will be keen to keep hold of him.
He still has a few years left to run on his contract so they are under no pressure to cash in on him anytime soon and can wait for the right offer to come in for him if they are consider letting him go.
After moving to the Potters last year, he told their website: “This is a dream come true because I have always wanted to have the opportunity to play in England. This is only the beginning for me and I intend to have a long and successful career with Stoke City.
“Moving to England will be something which I need to adapt to, on and off the pitch, but I intend to do so as soon as possible and to help the team with my performances.”
Jun-ho has adapted well to life in England over recent times and although he could score more goals, he is a creative player and picks up a decent amount of assists for his teammates.
The Daegu-born man played for Daejeon Hana Citizen before joining Stoke City and played 28 matches for the K-League side, finding the net on three occasions after breaking into their first-team as a teenager.
What now?
Time will tell whether Jun-ho is approached by another team in the near future.
In the meantime, the Potters will be looking to rise up the table under Narcis Pelach.
