Goals from Jobe Bellingham and Dan Ballard secured a vital three points for Sunderland against Norwich City. Here's how Andy rated the Lads!

Anthony Patterson: 7/10

Made a good save in the build up to the Norwich goal, did not look comfortable with the ball to feet in blustery conditions but made a fantastic save after Ballard gave the ball away.

Luke O'Nien: 7/10

Dealt well with enough with Sainz and whipped in the free kick that led to Ballard's goal, got booked though and was walking a tightrope before being replaced by Hume.

Dan Ballard: 6/10

Scored the all important equaliser with an emphatic header but looked a bit shaky at the back. Gave one dangerous ball away that Patterson had to tip onto the post late on, injured himself shortly afterwards and then dived in a bit to try and stop an attack, also got beaten in the air initially for the opening goal of the game.

Chris Mepham: 7/10

Read the game well, as usual and didn't seemed to be too much by the chaos that often went on around him.

Dennis Cirkin: 6/10

Played the ball through to Jobe for the second goal but didn't look particularly comfortable on the ball today.

Dan Neil (C): 7/10

Tidy in the first half but more proactive in the second, especially from the start of it when he led by example with his work-rate. Diagonals weren't always on point due to the windy conditions but otherwise reliable in possession.

Jobe Bellingham: 8/10

Scored the winner after finding space and cutting back onto his right foot. Made some crunching tackles throughout the game, sometimes after he had lost the ball himself but always cleanly took the ball.

Patrick Roberts: 6/10

Some tricky wing player but his best bit of play was on the left when he dribbled through a few Norwich players and picked out Isidor who was adjudged offside.

Chris Rigg: 6/10

Another quieter game from Rigg, generally tidy but didn't effect the game enough. Caught ball watching a little for the Norwich goal too.

Eliezer Mayenda: 7/10

An unpredictable display from Mayenda, looked a lot more comfortable on the right wing but our most dangerous attacking player throughout. Had a couple of chances to score late on that were well saved.

Wilson Isidor: 6/10

Completely isolated again, did well to close down consistently but barely even had scraps other than one chance he made himself when he stole the ball on the half way line, drove forward but could only fire over.

Substitutes

Trai Hume: 6/10

Came on for O'Nien and looked very comfortable at right back.

Adil Aouchiche: 7/10

Held the ball up well on the left hand side after coming on and set up a couple of chances for Mayenda.

Aji Alese: 6/10

Came on for Cirkin and not really tested.

Leo Hjelde: 6/10

A late change for the injured Ballard, looked solid and composed on the ball.

Man of the Match: Jobe Bellingham

Scored the winner with a very composed finish after finding space from a deep free kick, chopping back onto his right foot and curling into the far post. Used the ball well today but although he was guilty of being a little casual in the first half, he made up for it by tracking back and putting in some big tackles to get the ball back and set us off on attacks.
