Finn Gergausian scored a first-half brace as Sunderland Under 21's won 3-0 at Eppleton to move themselves back into the play-off places going into the final three games of the Premier League 2 season.
He opened the scoring in the 40th minute bundling home from close range after Tommy Watson's shot was saved by Darryl Ombang.
The 17-year-old doubled his tally just a minute later after a lovely pass from Harrison Jones, placing it past Ombang and into the bottom corner.

Geragusian said: "The first goal was a good ball in its deflected off the keeper and I've just managed to chip it in.
"The second goal was put on a plate for me by Harrison I've took a nice touch forward and just bent it into the left corner, don't think the keeper could have done much about it.
"If we keep the momentum going, we'll definitely push through these last three games, it's really important to get that play-off spot.
"Everyone in the team is wanting to get that Play-Off spot and hopefully get into the finals."
The Armenia youth international has recently received a call up to the country's under-19 side. He now has three goals in Premier League 2 this season having scored six goals for the under 18's in the early parts of the campaign.
Sunderland Under 21's sit 12th in the Premier League 2 with the top 16 earning a play-off spot. The young Black Cats are next back in action against Nottingham Forest on Friday 4th April.
