Euro giants determined to land £58m Tottenham star who wants to join them

Real Madrid remain keen on signing Pedro Porro from Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a report from the Mirror, Real Madrid are determined to get the deal done and Spurs will hold out for a fee of around £58 million.

Manchester United are keen on signing the 25-year-old defender as well, and it will be interesting to see if the Red Devils come forward with an offer to sign him. Real Madrid believe that the player wants to join them and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

They are widely regarded as one of the biggest clubs in the world and it would not be a surprise if the Spanish international is tempted to join them. He is being looked at as the ideal long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal.

The 25-year-old has been one of the best right-backs in the Premier League since his move from Sporting CP and it is no surprise that top clubs are keen on securing his signature. The defender is entering his years and he will want to compete at the highest level and challenge for trophies. Real Madrid won the league title and the UEFA Champions League last season. Tottenham are not quite at that level yet, and a move to the Spanish club would allow the 25-year-old to win major trophies. 

The reported asking price seems quite steep, and it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid are willing to pay £58 million for the defender. He has the ability to justify the investment in the coming seasons. 

Ideally, Tottenham should do everything in their power to keep him at the club. They need to keep their best players if they want to challenge for major trophies in the coming season. Losing the Spanish international would be a major blow for them.
