"I would keep an eye on..": Tottenham, Chelsea linked with 21-year-old English forward

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with multiple attackers recently, and journalist Ben Jacobs believes they could consider a move for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
The 21-year-old has done quite well for the Premier League outfit this season, even though they have struggled as a team. His performances have caught the attention of the top clubs, and it will be interesting to see if Spurs decide to make a move for him in the coming months. Jacobs has revealed to Give Me Sport that Chelsea and Tottenham could look to make a move for him in the near future.
"If they wait I would keep an eye on Liam Delap for Chelsea and Spurs. I also think Tottenham could enter the conversation for [Viktor] Gyokeres."
Delap has the quality to develop into a quality Premier League forward, and he could be a long-term asset for Tottenham.
Spurs have invested a substantial amount of money on Dominic Solanke earlier this season, and the England International has done reasonably well for them. However, he needs more support in the attack and Delap could share the goalscoring burden with him. The opportunity to move to Tottenham could be an exciting one for the player. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham step up their pursuit with an official offer for the player in the coming months.
It is fair to assume that any move will have to wait until the summer window. It will not jeopardise their chances of securing safety from relegation by selling one of their best players in January.
Meanwhile, Chelsea need more attacking depth as well, and the 21-year-old could compete with Nicolas Jackson for the starting spot. The Blues will be hoping to compete for major trophies, and they need a deeper squad with more quality.
