Earlier this week, there was an indication that Tottenham will have to pay around €50m to sign Davide Frattesi from Inter Milan.

Spurs are not the only club interested in the Italian but their financial capabilities can make them a favourable candidate to pay that price.

An update has emerged from Italy about the midfielder, with Tuttomercatoweb reporting that Tottenham are now ready to 'get down to business' for 25-year-old Frattesi, who is seeking to leave Inter due to a lack of game time.

He’s played only 585 minutes in Serie A this season and has already had a meeting with manager Simone Inzaghi over his playing time. The Inter boss was clear that the squad hierarchies are quite fixed.

That is why the Italy international is keen on an exit. There is interest from Napoli and Roma as well, but Tottenham’s interest is quite concrete.

There is also a belief amongst potential suitors that there will be room for negotiation, with the Nerazzurri currently looking at a fee of €35m to sell the midfielder.

In the next few days, the situation is likely to become clearer for Ange Postecoglou’s side. There will be a key meeting involving Inter and Frattesi’s entourage to discuss future plans and a decision will be made on whether a January sale can be executed or not.
