Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to sign Angel Gomes from LOSC Lille.

According to a report from TBR Football, the North London outfit are ready to make an offer for him after holding talks with his representatives. The 24-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the season and he will be able to secure a pre-contract agreement with Spurs this month.

Signing a player of his quality on a free transfer would be a major coup for Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if they try and sign him permanently this month. They need more quality and depth in the side and the 24-year-old will help them improve going forward. He will add composure, creativity, and technical ability to the side.

Tottenham have had a disappointing season so far, and they need to bring in quality players so that they can do well in the remaining months of the campaign. Signing a player like Gomes this month could help them bounce back strongly.

West Ham United are keen on signing the player as well. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can win the race for his signature. They have an exciting project and a talented squad. Even though they have struggled in the Premier League this season, they could be an attractive destination for most players.

The midfielder will feel that he has unfinished business in English football, and he will look to prove himself in the Premier League. Tottenham could provide him with the platform he needs right now. The move could be ideal for all parties.

Given the fact that he could be signed for a reasonable price this month and on a free transfer at the end of the season, the transfer looks like a no-brainer.
