Chelsea have struck a deal to loan Renato Veiga to Juventus, according to Fabrizio Romano.
TBR Football sources confirmed on Tuesday that Chelsea were willing to sanction a loan for Veiga this month.
Juventus were close to agreeing a deal for Fikayo Tomori but the England international has now been persuaded to stay at the San Siro.
As a result, Juve have turned their attention to Veiga, and Romano has now reported that a deal has been struck.
Chelsea’s Renato Veiga set to join Juventus in £4.2m straight loan deal
Romano took to X on Wednesday night to declare “here we go” on Veiga’s loan move from Chelsea to Juve.
The Serie A club is paying Chelsea €5million (around £4.2million) for a loan move until Juve, albeit with no buy option or obligation.
The plan is for Veiga to return to Chelsea at the end of Juve in time for the FIFA Club World Cup.
How much game time Veiga has been getting at Chelsea
Since joining from Swiss side FC Basel in the summer, Veiga has made 18 appearances under Enzo Maresca.
However, the majority of his minutes have come in the UEFA Conference League.
For Chelsea, Veiga has mostly played as a left-back, but he is expected to play at centre-back for Juve.
German outfit Borussia Dortmund have also been in talks for Veiga.
However, he’s now set to link up with one of Italy’s biggest and most historic clubs for the season.
