'Unstoppable' player has just agreed to leave his title-winning club and join Liverpool

Liverpool are expected to be active in the summer transfer window of 2025.
The Reds signed just one player last summer. Everyone expected there to be more arrivals ahead of Arne Slot’s first season at the helm, but that did not happen.
It remains to be seen if Liverpool will dive into the market for a player or two in January, but we think they will make a few big moves next summer.
Now, a report has revealed one player’s stance on joining Liverpool in 2025.
Jeremie Frimpong has agreed to join Liverpool
Liverpool have a big problem heading into 2025.
The Reds have allowed Trent Alexander-Arnold to enter the final year of his contract. The defender can sign a pre-contract with a foreign club as early as January.
Real Madrid are keen to sign Alexander-Arnold. They could be the favourites for his signature if Liverpool cannot extend his deal in the coming months.
If the Englishman leaves, Slot will need to sign a replacement, and Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool
Now, Sky Sports have claimed that ‘regular contacts have taken place’ between Liverpool and Frimpong’s entourage over a move in 2025.
The biggest claim, however, is that Frinmpong has reportedly given his approval to join Liverpool, which is great news if you are a Reds fan.
Liverpool have not made an offer for Frimpong yet, but the report claims that good relations between the Merseysiders and Bayer Leverkusen could ‘facilitate the discussions for an agreement’.
Another big club want to sign Frimpong in 2025
Frimpong has made a tremendous name for himself in the Bundesliga.
The defender scored 14 goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions last season and played a big part in helping Bayer Leverkusen win the German league title without losing a game all campaign.
Bundesliga.com went as far as saying Frimpong was ‘unstoppable’ in the 2023/24 season.
Liverpool would sure love him, but TBR Football revealed recently that Manchester City are also interested in signing Frimpong in 2025. The champions see the 23-year-old as a potential successor to Kyle Walker at right-back.
Frimpong came through the ranks at Manchester City and spent several years as a youngster there. A return would be a fairytale story, but Sky claim he has agreed to join Liverpool, and that is great news for the Reds.
