Walsall have advanced to the Round of 32 stage of the 2024/25 Bristol Street Motors Trophy with a game to spare.

The Saddlers, who secured a bonus point win over Birmingham City before defeating Fulham U21s 1-0 in September, will face Shrewsbury Town in their final group game on Tuesday, 12th November.

However, after Birmingham City thrashed Fulham U21s 7-1 at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park on Tuesday evening, the Saddlers have already secured their place alongside the Blues in the next stage,

It could get even better for Mat Sadler's side as a win over the Shrews next month could see them rise to the top of the group ahead of the next round.

Both the Round of 32 and Round of 16 stages of the competition will be drawn on a regionalised basis with Group Stage winners being seeded whilst teams who played in the same group as each other will be kept apart.
