In the first match, a 1-0 loss to Zambia, Bayo came on as a substitute in the 67th minute.
The Elephants' second fixture saw a dominant 4-0 win over Chad, with Bayo opening the scoring in the 25th minute after capitalising on a mistake.
This was the forward’s first goal for his country after he was recalled to the squad for the first time in six years, following his run of five goals in three games for the Hornets.
Despite the earlier loss, Ivory Coast finished second in their group, securing their place in the tournament in Morocco in December 2025.
Edo Kayembe has played a key role for DR Congo during their AFCON qualifiers, with the country already assured of a place at the Finals heading into the November break.
The midfielder came on as a substitute in a 1-0 loss to Guinea, and then played 70 minutes in a 2-1 defeat to Ethiopia.
Despite the two defeats, DR Congo still won their qualification group.
Mamadou Doumbia was also in goalscoring form for Mali as they booked their place at the AFCON.
In their 1-0 victory over Mozambique, the forward was an unused substitute, but he made an impact in an emphatic 6-0 win over Eswatini.
Doumbia scored in the 89th minute, capping off a strong performance after coming on in the 63rd minute and scoring his first goal for his country.
Mali finished top of their group to seal their place in Morocco.
In Europe, Giorgi Chakvetadze was a key man for Georgia in their UEFA Nations League matches in Group B1.
In a 1-1 draw with Ukraine, Chakvetadze played just the first half, and he then started in a 2-1 defeat away at the Czech Republic.

In their 1-0 win over Finland, Ebosele played 76 minutes before being substituted.
The Boys in Green were then handed a heavy 5-0 defeat by England in their final match, with Ebosele substituted in the 67th minute at Wembley.
Ireland finished third and will also need to negotiate a play-off to preserve their status.
Ryan Porteous was part of the Scotland squad but did not feature in either of their two Nations League victories in Group A1.
Scotland won 1-0 at home against Croatia and 2-1 away to Poland, finishing third in their group to book a play-off and avoid automatic relegation.
Ken Sema played 90 minutes in both of Sweden’s Nations League fixtures in Group C1.
In a 2-1 win over Slovakia, Sema helped Sweden secure a narrow victory, and they then thrashed Kazakhstan 6-0 with the Hornets man playing as a left centre-back.
Sweden finished top of their group to earn automatic promotion to League B.
In South America, Francisco Sierralta was named in the Chile squad for their World Cup qualifying matches but did not feature in either of their two games.
The first match ended in a goalless draw against Peru, with Chile then improving to win 4-2 against Venezuela. Chile are currently outside of the qualifying spots, sitting in ninth place in their group.
Ryan Andrews featured for England Under-20s, starting in their 4-0 win over Germany in the Euro Elite League.
He came on as a substitute in their 1-1 draw with Poland, helping England to a strong position at the top of their group.
