Tunisia international Anis Ben Slimane has been purchased by Norwich City from fellow English Championship club Sheffield United.
The 23-year-old midfielder arrived at Norwich in August 2024 on a season-long loan, with an option to make the move permanent upon the completion of certain criteria.
The Canaries have now triggered their option to sign Slimane permanently from Sheffield after he featured in 21 Championship games and found the back of the net on two occasions.
“It’s a big relief. I’ve really enjoyed the first six months at the club. My team-mates, the coaching, it’s all been really nice,” Slimane said on the club website.
“I just felt at home since day one. I can call myself a permanent Norwich player now, it’s a big relief and I’m very happy and very proud to move forward.”
The former AB and Brøndby star has signed a long-term Norwich deal, keeping him at Carrow Road until 2028.
He has four goals in 34 Tunisia matches.
