Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has revealed that he had successfully undergone surgery to address a knee problem.
Last Thursday, the Leicester City attacker sustained a knee injury during Ghana’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola in Luanda.
The injury led to Issahaku missing the Black Stars’ last Group F game against Niger on Monday and he went back to England for further assessment, and treatment.
“All glory be to Almighty Allah,” the former Sporting Lisbon star wrote on his official Instagram page.
“My surgery was successful, and I just want to tell you that I am okay. I want to thank everyone for your best wishes.”
The injury has come as a big blow for Leicester as he is one of the team’s key attackers having provided two assists in 11 Premier League appearances this season.
