Nabi: Next two, three transfer windows critical for Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has stated that the next two transfer windows will be critical to the club's hopes of challenging for top honours.
The Tunisian tactician arrived at the club in July 2024, tasked with returning the Soweto giants back to the top of South African football.
However, the Amakhosi have struggled so far this season, and find themselves 12 points off the pace of Betway Premiership leaders Mamelodi Sundowns just nine rounds into the league campaign.
Nabi insists that transforming the squad through transfers is necessary for Chiefs to improve.
"The most important ones will be how we do our mid-season [January], as well as the big transfer window in June," said Nabi, as quoted by The South African.
"The next two windows will be important in terms of bringing players who are experienced and tactically ready for the level required at Kaizer Chiefs, to help speed up the process to get to where we want to be."
The Chiefs coach added, "I think you need a minimum of three windows to change a team, that is normal, people who understand football know that's the realistic approach."
Nabi continued, "I think we are [heading] in the right direction, after five months with this team, even though we have lost so many points recklessly. But I still think we're headed in a good direction."
Chiefs will next be in action on Sunday 29 December when they host Chippa United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
