Kathrine Kuhl in talks with Roma over move
Yesterday at 02:37 PM
Arsenal Women’s Danish midfielder Kathrine Kuhl is negotiating a move to Serie A club Roma as per Leonardo Frenquelli of Il Romanista. The Dane joined the Gunners in January 2023 and had a loan spell with Everton during the second half of last season.
This season she has played just seven minutes in the WSL and has been set on a January move since the autumn as, even with Victoria Pelova unavailable, she has been unable to break into the team. Everton were interested in the player prior to the window opening but Roma are understood to be more willing to meet Arsenal’s asking price. Everton signed Hayley Ladd from Manchester United earlier in the window instead.
Kuhl was not featured in the midweek training pictures as she negotiates a move, which Frenquelli reports would be an Italian record at around 100,000 Euros. Our understanding at this stage is that Arsenal’s academy players on the fringes of the first team are likely to go out on loan. If there is movement into the club it is likely to be for a wide forward.
Arseblog News investigated links to Manchester City bound attacker Kerolin during January with a wide range of sources and couldn’t find any suggestion of serious, sustained interest in the player.
We will have an episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast available tomorrow morning UK time and we will have some exclusive content on Friday afternoon.
