Robert Pires names 'the one striker' Arsenal must sign before transfer window closes

Arsenal legend Robert Pires believes the club need to sign a 'real striker' during the January transfer window, naming Victor Osimhen his top target.
Mikel Arteta has made no secret of his desire to bring in another forward option with Bukayo Saka currently sidelined and Gabriel Jesus missing the rest of the season with an ACL injury.
Arsenal have targeted Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko to fill that void up top but signing either player in January would prove hugely difficult.
The club have also been linked with Wolves star Matheus Cunha while Bayern Munich's Mathys Tel has emerged as another target with the Frenchman now keen to leave the German giants.
Arsenal are still fighting on three fronts this season, sat second in the Premier League, effectively qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League and into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup – albeit trailing to Newcastle United after the first leg.
A clinical finisher up top could be the difference between success and more disappointment come May and Pires believes there is one striker out there almost tailor-made for his old side.
'Victor Osimhen,’ Pires told Mail Sport.
‘He has a good profile to play for Arsenal and the players such as Gabriel Martinelli, Martin Odegaard, Havertz and Bukayo Saka.
‘But I’m not the owner or manager – I’m just an Arsenal fan who will always support them. If we can bring in one player though it’d have to be Osimhen.’
Osimhen was at the centre of a lengthy transfer saga last summer where he was chased and chased by Chelsea.
Despite talks going down to the wire, no deal was struck.
Having burned bridges at Napoli, the Nigeria international joined Galatasaray on loan where he has been a hit in the Turkish Super Lig – scoring 12 goals in 15 league matches.
Osimhen was reported to have requested a January break clause in that season-long loan deal should a major European club come calling in January.
