Cullen comes out on top in big win at Plymouth

Three players battled at the top of the man of the match vote and the player ratings from Wednesday's 5-0 win at Plymouth but it was Josh Cullen who just came out on top.

He was second for the man of the match, he won 25% of the vote but that was behind fellow midfielder Josh Laurent, who scored his first Burnley goals, won it with 34%. Zian Flemming, scorer of the first two goals, came third with 22% while Jaidon Anthony, who created havoc alongside Connor Roberts down the right in the first half, took fourth place with 10% of the vote.

Two of that top three couldn't be separated in the player ratings with both Cullen and Flemming moving ahead of Laurent to win it with each having a rating of 8.68 out of ten, with Laurent not far behind with 8.62. Again Anthony took fourth place; he rated 8.21 out of ten.

Cullen wins eight points towards the Up the Clarets Player of the Year with both Flemming and Laurent winning just one point fewer. Anthony picks up two points from his two fourth places.

This result hasn't affected the top of the table with neither CJ Egan-Riley nor Maxime Estève winning any points but Cullen has moved up into joint third place alongside James Trafford. The points won have helped Flemming and Laurent into eighth and ninth places while Anthony is now tenth jointly with Bashir Humphreys.

The next vote will be underway tomorrow night after the Leeds game.
