According to a claim in the Turkish media, Watford are 'seriously interested' in signing Trabzonspor centre-forward Denis Dragus in this transfer window.

The Championship side will be looking to add to their squad as they chase promotion to the Premier League.

Fanatik today report on Dragus’ future after he failed to make an impact since his transfer to the Super Lig side last summer. The 25-year-old signed from Standard Liege for a fee in the region of €1.7m, and they could already be looking to offload him before the transfer deadline.

It's claimed Watford are monitoring the situation with the Romania international as Tom Cleverley looks to add some experience in attack.

The Hornets are currently just outside the Championship play-off spots and Dragus' experience could be beneficial to their promotion chances.

There are no reports if Watford intend to come in with an offer for the player, but Trabzonspor are willing to listen to bids.

Dragus has made 20 appearances for Romania and played in all of his country's four games at last summer's Euros. He's contracted to Trabzonspor until June 2028.
