At the weekend, Sky Deutschland reported Manchester United are in direct contact with Chelsea for Christopher Nkunku.

It was also stated the forward has a verbal agreement with Bayern Munich, but he can’t join them until they let Mathys Tel leaves in the winter market.

Sky journalist Florian Plettenberg took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to back up claims about Bayern and then provides the Chelsea player’s stance on Manchester United.

He claims the Red Devils and Chelsea will ‘remain in contact’ over a potential deal for the 27-year-old until deadline day.

Chelsea are looking at Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and this could also be a reason for the two clubs holding regular talks.

With regards to the France international, the journalist claims he is ‘open to a move’ to the Red Devils. At the same time, the former RB Leipzig man hasn’t closed the door on a transfer to Bayern Munich.

Earlier today, we covered claims from Germany which stated Chelsea are in the fight to sign Tel.

Plettenberg now claims Tel isn’t keen on moving to Stamford Bridge, but he may consider leaving Bayern before the window closes next Monday. If that were to happen, Bayern’s door could open for the Chelsea player.
