Community player ratings as Chelsea drop two points at home

1. COLE PALMER (6.6)

A ninety minutes to prove that games are won and lost (and drawn) on the pitch rather than on paper and in theory and with formulas. All the relevant metrics heavily favored Chelsea, except of course the final scoreline.

Entirely unsurprisingly, the one goal we did manage to score was set up by Cole Palmer (and Noni Madueke) who orchestrated a wonderful flowing counter. That's four assists on the new season already for our reigning Player of the Year! Not too shabby.

Palmer cut a frustrated figure for much of the second half, and he was hardly alone in that regard. But hopefully we won't have to suffer too many games like this, and we can turn theoretical, mathematical, statistical dominance into actual wins with far more regularity.

2. NICOLAS JACKSON (6.3)

One way we could turn them into wins would be to finish our chances. Jackson scored one that he couldn't miss, and then he missed one at the end that he couldn't not miss. That's how it goes sometimes.

"It was a great chance to win the game. It was the last minute, I was a little bit tired, but I made the run and hopefully next time I will score one like this."

3. LEVI COLWILL (6.2)

Colwill has made a quietly, steadily, and consistently solid start to the season, and is starting to form a good partnership with Wesley Fofana, who finishes not far behind either. We're still shipping goals at an uncomfortable rate, but there's a solid foundation to be had here if we can lay it down.
