The hands that rock the cradle
Looks like we have another promising young talent joining our daycare operation at Cobham, with Chelsea reportedly agreeing a future transfer for 16-year-old Dastan Satpaev, who currently plays for Kazakhstan Premier League champions FC Kairat Almaty('s youth team) but has recently been on trial at Chelsea.
Satpaev is apparently dominating youth football in his country, and has had some eye-catching performances in the UEFA Youth League as well with Kairat U19. But he's just 16, so he won't be able to actually join Chelsea until August 2026 when he turns 18. (It's the same situation as for Kendry Paez and Estevao Willian, utilizing this low-effort and amusingly obvious workaround for FIFA's ban on transfers for players under 18.)
Chelsea are reportedly paying €4m, inclusive of add-ons and bonuses and whatnot, to bring in this kid, which is practically nothing at all, but will be a record transfer for the Kazakhstan Premier League.
Obviously, this is just another lottery ticket for our BlueCo multi-club operation, but that's modern football for ya.
Chelsea have agreed deal to sign 2008 born talent Dastan Satpaev from Kazakhstan.
