KSI called out Wayne Bridge at Misfits Boxing 20 (DAZN)

KSI will fight former Chelsea, Manchester City and England defender Wayne Bridge on March 29.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer called out Bridge during the Misfits Boxing 20 event in Manchester on Saturday evening.

During their face-off in the ring, KSI taunted Bridge over the alleged affair involving his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel and his former Chelsea teammate John Terry.

Perroncel subsequently denied having an affair with Terry but Bridge famously did not shake the former Chelsea captain’s hand when they were on opposing sides in the Premier League in 2010.

The allegations also led to Terry losing the England captaincy, while Bridge decided to quit international football.

When asked about KSI’s insults after the face-off in the ring Bridge, who is married to former Saturdays singer and Loose Women host Frankie Sandford, said: ‘Do you know what, it was always going to get there, it’s obvious it’s going to go there.

‘He won’t say it in a room on his own will he? It’s just because the camera is there.’

During his playing career, Bridge won the Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup during his time at Chelsea.

He was capped 36 times by England and made two appearances at the World Cup in 2022.

Bridge, 44, retired in 2014 buthas fought in the ring before as he beat Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews in a charity event seven years ago.

KSI, meanwhile, has not stepped in the ring since his defeat to Tommy Fury at the Manchester Arena in October 2023.

The 31-year-old won his first four professional boxing fights, including a split-decision victory against Logan Paul in November 2019.

In October 2023, KSI welcomed the idea of fighting Bridge when he appeared on That Peter Crouch Podcast.

Crouch said: ‘You know, if you ever need someone to step in, I know someone in training all the time. So if you need someone last minute… Wayne Bridge.’

Co-host Steve Sidwell, the former Chelsea midfielder, said: ‘Can anyone beat the Bridge? He's an animal.’

KSI replied: ‘If he is really about it then it would be great to have him on Misfits for sure.’
