Good luck, JJ!

Chelsea youngster Jimmy-Jay Morgan has gone out on his first loan, joining League Two side Gillingham for the rest of the season.

The 19-year-old had been a regular for our Development Squad in the PL2 the last couple years, with 13 goals in 27 appearances to his name since the start of last season, including 6 in 10 in the current campaign. He's also featured in EFL Trophy and FA Youth Cup matches, after arriving from Southampton's Academy in early 2023. (Morgan did start out in the Chelsea system at a very young age, before spending most of his teenage years at Southampton.)

Midtable strugglers Gillingham started the season well, but with just three wins since October, fired manager Mark Bonner earlier this month. Legendary Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman has been appointed as the short-term replacement; he lost his first game in charge last weekend. It was the fourth match in a row that the Gills had failed to find the back of the net.

Time to show them how it's done, JJ!
