Transfer News: Top Chelsea sources deliver huge unofficial swap deal news late on Monday
Today at 12:23 AM
Wow, this January transfer window has now really gone nuts for Chelsea in terms of the news coming out and the plans they now have.
Every day we are seeing new wild stories coming out. In the first part of the window we saw the shock news that Chelsea were looking at Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo as an option now or in the summer.
EXCLUSIVE!! Chelsea held an internal recruitment meeting on Sunday to make a decision on new signing this month!
And as well as that, we saw other big news such as players who were only signed in the summer like Renato Veiga, now pushing to leave the club already, It's all gone a bit nuts over at Stamford Bridge in a window that was supposed to be very quiet!
Well, it's been far from that so far, and Monday night was no different. Some big late news surfaced across all the top sources and outlets, and it's news that will excite Chelsea fans.
Unofficial swap deal pending?
The reliable David Ornstein of The Athletic was just one of many reporting this last night.
He says that Chelsea have now enquired over deal to sign Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, but there is no guarantee it happens, Chelsea's interest in the 19-year-old forward is long-standing, and contact has now been made.
He also reports that Bayern are exploring move for Christopher Nkunku that would be a separate deal and not a swap deal. So basically it would be a swap deal but officially they would do it as two separate deals, likely for PSR reasons.
I think if Chelsea could move Nkunku to Bayern and sign Tel, then it would be a very good deal for us. Tel is a quality young winger, and Nkunku's days at Chelsea are done.
