Thursday’s edition of Hurriyet has a big article which claims all of Everton, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Aston Villa are keen on signing Barış Alper Yılmaz from Galatasaray.

Barış Alper Yılmaz is certainly a star in Turkey, continually in the country’s newspapers for his exploits both on and off the pitch. The 24-year-old has played 18 Super Lig matches for Galatasaray so far this season, with 11 goals and one assist.

He mainly plays on the right of attack but is very versatile when it comes to position and approach. Barış Alper Yılmaz has been linked with multiple Premier League clubs recently. West Ham were said to be keen in the summer after he caught attention at Euro 2024, and with Graham Potter needing goals it’s no surprise to see them back in the picture.

Aston Villa were also linked in July and August, and Monchi has been looking towards the Turkish market recently. Newcastle United, like Aston Villa, were said to have sent scouts in August.

Everton and David Moyes could likely do with an addition in attack, although the finances may be difficult unless they see someone depart.

Hurriyet report Lazio have offered €20m, which has largely been laughed out of Istanbul. The report puts €30m as a realistic price and says Galatasaray want to keep their player until the summer.
