Everton player offered to Champions League club – Can't fault the optimism

On Saturday, Turin newspaper Tuttosport had another big feature on Beto and his desire to return to Serie A this month.
Torino are keen to sign the Everton player but they’re far from agreeing a deal with the Premier League club.
Tuttosport paraphrased a message they said Beto and his agent had worked on and given to Everton, and reported it as: 'I would like to play more, I would like to return to Italy. If you sell me to Torino, I will be happy: I would like it very much. By now here in Liverpool the choices have been made about me. And for some time.'
The child-like nature of it perhaps suggests why the agent hasn’t been able to close a deal yet, despite attempts to do so with multiple clubs going back to the summer window.
Sunday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport reports Beto has now been offered to AC Milan. Sure, it’s ambitious, but why not shoot high and get some Champions League football included.
Unfortunately, Gazzetta explain that as far as the Rossoneri are concerned, the Everton player is ‘not convincing’. It’s not completely ruled out, but it can be pretty certain Milan wouldn’t agree to what the Toffees have reportedly been asking Torino for.
Back to the drawing board then.
